In its 13th year, the IT Makeover campaign is a joint project between Microsoft and BluePeak Technology Solutions in which each provide $10,000 ($20,000 all up) worth of technology enhancements and upgrades to deserving, local nonprofit recipients.
Recipients are selected from an application pool throughout northern Nevada and based on an application they are required to submit describing their needs, mission, and objectives in addition to how their organization would use the IT Makeover contribution to better serve the northern Nevada region. The final selections are made by a panel made up of Microsoft and BluePeak volunteer team members.
Over the past 12 years, a total of $270,000 has been awarded to more than 30 local nonprofit recipients.

IT Makeover Campaign Requirements, Application and Deadline
The following prerequisites shall apply to all organizations wishing to be considered for the IT Makeover Campaign:
The organization must be a 501(c)3 registered nonprofit
The organization shall be based in the region (Washoe, Storey, Lyon and Douglas counties or Carson City/Lake Tahoe/Truckee).
The organization’s operations impact clients or resources in the region
The organization has charitable goals that directly impact the community through efforts to assist individuals and groups, or positively impact cultural or natural resources.
The organization has a demonstrated need or vision for how the IT Makeover Campaign can positively impact its charitable goals.
*Recipients will be required to sign Project Delivery, Liability, and Marketing Releases.

Microsoft and BluePeak Technology Solutions will be hosting a Nonprofit Tech Q&A on Friday, April 2, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. via Microsoft Teams (link to join meeting).
This session is held to provide tips on completing the IT Makeover Campaign application and answer any questions that applicants may have pertaining to their IT requests. There will also be an opportunity to hear from previous winners on their experience with the application process and the final outcomes of their IT makeovers.
